Benjamin Jay Susman, 68, of Ringgold, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Jay was born on September 24, 1948 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Ben and Gussie Shavin Susman. He was a member of the Mizpah Congregation, UTC Mocs Club, and loved UTC athletics.
He was an avid softball and baseball player for many years, and enjoyed coaching his grandchildren after his playing days.
He previously owned Jay Surplus in Summerville, GA and Chattanooga, TN. For the past 8 years he and his family have owned Holder Concessions in Chattanooga, TN.
He enjoyed traveling and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Susman, daughter, Beth (Johnny) Walling, son, Andrew (Rebekah) Susman, brother, Joel Susman, Uncle and Aunt, Harold and Josephine Shavin, grandchildren, Caden and Bailey Walling, Sophie and Tripp Susman.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 17 at the Mizpah Temple with Rabbi Ken Kanter and Rabbi Craig Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Mizpah Cemetery.
