Donald Ray Conley

Donald R. Conley, age 80, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland, TN.

He was the husband of M. Darleen Conley of Harrison, TN.

Don was born December 12, 1937 and grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. After graduation from Porter High School in Porter, Oklahoma, he joined the United States Marine Corps and would later switch to the United States Air Force.

He went on to serve 27 years in the military at numerous places around the world, before retiring and moving to Chattanooga in 1987.

Don graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in May 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting. He went on to earn Certifications as a CPA, CFE, IIA, and CISA, while working as an Internal Auditor for Provident Companies and EPB.

He retired from regular work on August 1, 2004.

Don is survived by his wife of 50 years, Darleen Conley; daughter, Lorie (Mike) Ingram of Harrison; son, Donald R. Conley II (Elizabeth) of Chattanooga; three beautiful granddaughters, Breanna Ingram, Addison and Audrey Conley; several siblings in Oklahoma and California.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Dale Tunnell officiating.
