Lois, you and Lenard were such a blessing to us when we moved to Madison in June of 1965. A rookie Youth/Camp/Pathfinder Director as I was, Lenard took me by the hand at Camp Wahdoon and walked me through uncharted waters to keep me from drowning in a sea of daily unknowns. He and a few others gave me such support in so many ways and only smiled at my mistakes. Our hearts go out to you, Steve, Ron and families. Our love and prayers, Les and La Sina Rilea.

Dear Lois,
You and Lenard have made a difference in our lives. It was good to work together in WA 35 years ago. Lenard's counsel to me has been passed on to many others.
Looking forward with you to heaven.
Love
David and Tomi Glenn
Dear God in Heaven,
Thank You for the loving support of Lenard and Lois and their faithful dedication to You and Your church. Please do come soon.
In Jesus' name, Amen

Dear Lois, so sorry for the loss of your lover and friend for more than six decades. Dr Jaecks was kind enough to endorse my book, If My People Pray, when it first was published in 1995. He was the chairman of the NAD Prayer Taskforce at the time. His words of support still appear on the back cover of the book. I, and so many others, will be indebted to him for pioneering many prayer initiatives across the division, such as the 6:15 am prayer movement. I now serve as a pastor in the Washington Conference. It would have been an honor to serve together while he was still president here, but I look forward to the day we can worship our Lord together in the earth made new. Grace and peace to you at this tender time.

Dearest Lois.
How saddened we were upon reading about Lenards passing. I think you know how much of our hearts belong to you and Lenard, ever since he married us in the Hinsdale Church Aug 13. 1972. We loved him dearly for everything he gave us of himself.
We can't wait for Heaven with no more tears and sorrows over losses. Till then we pray that the message of love that Lenard had in his heart and smile will continue to shine brightly for you dear Lois and all of us. We love you dearly. Ken and Bodil (Bo) Kirkham

Lois, Just heard of Lenard's passing. We wanted to let you know what an inspiration and mentor you and Lenard have been in our lives. Since our first meeting back in field school you both have been a special part of our lives. We so appreciated the years we worked with you both in Washington. And in the intervening years, we always enjoyed the times our lives would cross. He will be greatly missed. Our hearts are very sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Gary & Debbie
