Gertrude (Harris) Smith

Gertrude Smith, 97 of Ooltewah passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her residence.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  Gertrude was the daughter of the late Ernest and Cora Hayes Harris and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Smith; son, Ron Smith; sister, Maxine Harris; and brothers, Hayes and Harold Harris.

Survivors include her daughter, Jan Veal; grandchildren, Sarah and Josh Veal; sister, Christine Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 P. M. Sunday, December 17, 2017 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Ruehling officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Graysville, TN.
