Jack W. Moore, 83, of East Ridge, passed away peacefully, on Monday, October 16, 2017. Jack retired from W. R. Grace & Co. after 40 years of service. He was a longtime faithful member and usher at Ooltewah Church of God. Jack had previously spent many years on the council of East Ridge Church of God. Survivors include a loving wife of 44 years, Norma; sons, David (Sheila) Moore of Chattanooga and Mark Downey of Afton, Tn.; daughters, Connie (Mike) Zalabak of Niota and Melanie (Charlie) Spires of Cleveland; grandchildren, April Wilborn, Shannon Powell, Stevan Davis, Joshua Estes, Dean and Daniel Gravitt, TJ and Aaron Moore. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 19, at 12 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Edmond Stallings and Rev. Terry Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday 4-7 PM and Thursday 10 AM until noon service time. Burial and military honors will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
