So sorry for your loss. Red was a very nice person and a very dedicated worker. Sorry we missed the funeral, but our thoughts and prayers were with you and will continue to be with you. May God lay his comforting hand on you at this time.

I was so honored to perform the wedding ceremony for Anthony and Dawn, and meet the other half of my Tennessee family. My first thought was "no wonder my daughter wanted into this family". We didn't get to spend a lot of time together, but I knew I had met a kindred spirit when I met "Red". Loving life, loving family, knowing Jesus as Savior...now there's a trifecta we can all appreciate. "To be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord." James, save us a spot near the throne.

Our hearts are broken. You have been such a huge part of our family for 48 years. Debbie loved you with her whole being and the two of you gave us two wonderful young men to cherish, You made a difference in a lot of lives. You were a son, brother, uncle, husband, Daddy, and friend. We can't be sad because we know you loved the Lord and now you are rejoicing with Christ himself, family and the angels. It won't be long and we will see you again.
Our love is always with you.

I hate to hear of Red's passing! I worked with him back in my days at the CPD (69-85). He was always kind and respectful. He was a good guy and knew his business when it came to Auto Theft!! Heaven gained an angel for sure! Rest In Peace, Big Red Wilson!!

Big Red we shared many years together. We worked; we laughed; we shared the love of the Almighty with one another. I'll always have you in my heart and the great times we shared. Be at peace my Brother.

We both grew up in Lookout Valley with James. He and Bobby (Robert) were best friends. He was in my grade all through school. We were so proud that he became a policeman overcoming many things that would have held back a normal person. He just hooked up with us on facebook a while back. It's so good to know he was ready to meet the Lord. I just lost my brother Carlton Haire last week and it was a comfort to know he too was ready to meet God. Prayers to all.
