Lennie Gentry

Lennie Gentry, 92, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at her home.

Lennie was born on October 29, 1924 to the late Charles and Lennie Capps. She graduated from the Erlanger School of Nursing and received her B.S.N. at St. Joseph’s College in Maine. She was a member of several churches in the Chattanooga area. She was a Sunday school teacher; she loved to garden and travel, and managed real estate properties for several years.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Oval Gentry and Kenneth Underwood, six sisters, and one brother.

She is survived by her loving children, Susan Jochym, Larry (Rhonda) Gentry, Steve Gentry, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Jim Setliffe officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
