Maureen cherished the annual beach trips, family dinners, and attending anything she could that had to do with her children and grandchildren.  In addition she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi (Xi Alpha Iota chapter in Birmingham) until moving to Chattanooga where she joined the Chattanooga chapter and loved all of her sorority sisters.  She was also on the Grandparent Advisory Board for Rett Syndrome.org and attended 2 of their national conferences in support of Alyssa Grace.
