Rose Chawkin

Rose Doris Chawkin, 98, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 in an Atlanta, GA Hospice Care facility.  Mrs. Chawkin would have been 99 on December 17th.

Born in Warsaw, Poland to the late Louis Kaufman and Helen Schwartzbord Kaufman, Mrs. Chawkin had lived in Chattanooga for most of her life before moving to Atlanta, GA in 2008.

She was a lifetime member of the B’Nai’Zion Congregation.

Mrs. Chawkin was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Chawkin.

Survivors are her daughters, Beverly (Gary) Steres, Fallbrook, CA and Helen Lemm, Austin, TX;  son, Sam (Pamela) Chawkin, Atlanta, GA;  three grandchildren, Jill (Dr. Alan) Annenberg, Cincinnati, OH, Karen (Andy) Wener, Memphis, TN and Dr. Richard (Laurie) Stein, Solon, OH;  five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at B’Nai’Zion Cemetery with Rabbi Susan Tendler officiating.
