I am so sorry for your loss. Stephen and I shared many conversations over the past year and a half or so, both deep and light-hearted. He was so intelligent, charming, kind, and funny. He meant a lot to me, and I miss him so much. May God bless Stephen and your family.

I did not know this courageous young man or his family, but I was left in tears and a weight on my heart for them. My prayers are with you and I thank God to have let such a bright young soul gift this earth.

Our son Stephen Michael was so so so dear to us. We loved him like no other. I so wish for a second opportunity with our eldest son. He was so dear, thoughtful and fun to be with. I am forever grateful also for each of you our extended family ad friends of him who loved him and enjoyed him as much as we did. That makes us feel his life really had much more purpose than this earth death initially felt like. We love you all. We love you Stephen Michael DeMoss!

I did not know this young man or his family or friends, but it tears at my heart every time I see an obituary like this, there are way to many. This country asks a lot of our young people and more and more it seems the greater population takes it all for granted. I have two sons and grandchildren in this country. And for them I express my great appreciation for the sacrifice this young man and family has experienced. My sympathy cannot be expressed fully.

I was so sorry to hear of Stephen's passing. I worked with him in Parkersburg, WV at the Dept of the Treasury. Stephen added much energy and many smiles to our team. Prayers for comfort in this very sorrowful time.

“…and there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human life of which Christ, Who is Sovereign of all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’” (Kuyper, 1880).

Dear Lord,

Transform this loss into Your victory for Your glory. Comfort those who will miss Michael as we march on this side of heaven.

I served with Stephen in Germany and Iraq. I count him as one of my dearest and best friends. I can't express how much losing him hurts, I just know he takes a piece of me as he sails on to the great beyond. Stephen was the little brother I wish I had known all my life. I thank God for the time I had with him and for every laugh we shared, of which there were many. I love you buddy, I miss you terribly, and I can't wait to see you again.

I am so sorry for your loss. Stephen will never be forgotten; in his short time he lived and worked in Cleveland he left with us so many memories of his vast intelligence, wit, and sense of humor. I wish I was able to make it down to pay my respects. The group that knew him best here have all been sharing stories and pictures with each other, and he still has us laughing. My thoughts are with your family.
