Virginia Helen (Goodner) Lewis

Virginia Goodner Lewis, 73, of Hixson, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 surrounded by her children.

Virginia was born on September 3, 1944 to the late Thurman and Iva Goodner. She was a current member of Oakwood Baptist Church and a longtime member of Avondale Baptist Church. She worked several years at Buster Brown Apparel, but retired from US Express. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Selma Goodner, and brother, Glenn Goodner.

She is survived by her son, David (Jane) Lewis, daughters, Sheila Smith, Sheri (Giles) Lowe, special cousin, Carolyn Lusk, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 12 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
