Anna Sue (Robinson) Martin

Anna Sue Robinson Martin, born June 27, 1932, went to Heaven on April 25, 2019, peacefully at her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her loving husband of 67 years, Robert “Bob” Martin and family by her side.

Sue Martin was a loving and devoted mother and wife.

She was a graduate of Lafayette High School in the class of 1950 and had a successful career with the Dupont Corporation prior to her marriage. Sue owned a prosperous ceramic business in Chattanooga and enjoyed painting & designing special gifts. She was a charter member of the Lookout Valley Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star # 483 for 55 years and an officer for 30 consecutive years. Her favorite station was Martha.

Throughout her life, she participated in fundraising for numerous charities and was a longtime member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, C.M. & Susie Conley Robinson; daughter, Sandra Morrison; grandson, Josh Smallen; sisters, Edith Floyd, Mildred Massey; brothers, Robert Robinson, Eugene Robinson, Marvin Robinson.

She is survived by her husband “Bob Martin; her children, Susan Gilman, Mary Martin, Terry Martin. The Martins are the proud grandparents of Christa Thornton, Brandi (Jeff) Locke, James Morrison, Robbie Morrison. They enjoyed their great-grandchildren, Christian Smallen, Zachary Thornton, Chase Thornton, and Morgan Smallen. They were also blessed with 2 great-great grandchildren, Braxton Hulgan and Britton Locke;  nieces, Barbara Thomas, Coleen Williams, Gail Lewis, Cindy Vanbrunt, Barbara Wilson, Gail Kelley and Joyce Ingle; nephews, Randy Robinson, David Robinson, and Steve Robinson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Richard Mason officiating. The Order of the Eastern Star will perform funeral rites. Jeff Clark of the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church will provide music.
