Anna May (Bush) Kittrell, 90, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023, in Ooltewah, TN.

Anna May was born on August 8, 1932, in VanDyke, MI, to the late Frank and Johanna (Ciesiolka) Bush. 

At a young age, Anna May accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, serving Him faithfully for the remainder of her life.  She passed away with the confidence of knowing she will see the face of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on that great resurrection day. 

She was an active member of the Warren Seventh Day Adventist Church in Warren, Michigan, until her move to Eau Claire, MI in 2017 and Ooltewah, TN in 2022.

Anna May graduated high school from Adelphian Academy, received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Wayne State University, and her master’s degree in education from Michigan State University.  She dedicated her life to the education of our youth.  She retired in 1997 from the Michigan Conference of Seventh Day Adventists.  She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, make quilts, and traveled extensively after her retirement.

Anna May is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Johanna Bush, her loving husband, Edwin Kittrell, infant twins, Rickie and Vickie Kittrell, her brothers, Edward Bush and Raymond Bush, her sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Bush, and her son-in-law, Daniel L. Marsh.

Surviving are her four daughters, Deborah (David) Jones, Cheryl Marsh, Linda (Nathaniel) Burke, and Karen (Robert) Sciulli, Jr.; Grandchildren, Derek Jones, Danielle Jones, Katelyn (Johnny) Emmons, Jr., Daniel (Mattalyn) Marsh, Patrick (Nicole) Grzybowski, Jessica (David) Dunham, Andrew Burke, Logan Burke, Tiffany (Jordan) Cone, Ashley (Keith) Borja, Joseph Goulet, Ashleigh Sciulli, and Brandon Sciulli; Great-grandchildren, Lily Emmons, Oliver Grzybowski, Remi Cone, Riley Borja, and Carson Borja; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, January 23rd at 11 am in the chapel of  Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Ave., Mount Clemens, MI 48043 followed by a private family burial.  The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers Anna May requested that memorial donations be made to the Warren Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 12100 13 Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48093 (mailing address: P.O. Box 100, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080).

God’s promise to us all - Revelation 21:4 KJV “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.”
