Anne (Reinhold) Maley

Penelope Anne Maley, 78, of Signal Mtn. passed away June 21, 2017.

Anne was born August 24, 1938 in Duntisbourne Abbots, England.  She was the daughter of the late Major Douglas Reinhold and of the late Mrs. Betty Campbell.  She grew up in England during World War II and spent time in the Far East during the late 1940’s before attending boarding school back in England.  After high school she studied at the Cordon Bleu School of Cooking.  In 1964 she married John Maley. They lived in London for two years before moving to Cleveland, Ohio in 1966.  In 1975, the family spent one year in Sydney, Australia before settling down in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1976. 

Anne was preceded in death by her husband John.  She is survived by her son David Maley (Brooke) and daughter Nini Griffin (Ray), and three wonderful grandchildren, Will Maley, Emily Maley, and Charlie Griffin, and her sister Lynn Reinhold of London.

A memorial service will be held at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church on Friday, June 30th at 4 pm with the Reverend Derrick Hill officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, the Community Kitchen, or the Tennessee River Gorge Trust.
