Avalon Taylor

Avalon Jane Taylor, 96, of Apison passed away on March 16, 2020.

She was born in Sandusky, Ohio and moved to Collegedale, TN in 1969. Avalon retired from the McKee Baking Company in 1988 and was a member of the Ooltewah SDA Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Anna Smith; husbands, Wayne Ackerman Sr. and Irvin Taylor; sons, Wayne Ackerman Jr. and Dan Ackerman Sr.

Survivors include son, Dale (Patricia) Taylor of Apison, TN; daughter, Gale (Dennis) Whidden of Apison, TN; daughter-in-law, Sandy Ackerman of Edison, OH; eight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Pettengill officiating. Interment will be in Collegedale Memorial Park at a later date.
