Benjamin Simpson Cason

Benjamin Simpson Cason, 78, (formerly of Chattanooga, TN) passed away on February 2, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mr. Cason worked in Chattanooga for the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant before relocating to Mississippi and retiring from Grand Gulf as a Radd Waste Operator after 15 years. He was a member of the Dentville, MS Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed golf, reading, spending time with his grandchildren, and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin S. Cason, Jr; parents, James and Mabel Cooley Cason; grandson, JD Hess.

Ben is survived by his wife of 49 years and 10 months, Mary Cason; daughters, Janorah Forrar (Mike Hinkle) of Manzanola, CO, Melissa (Allen) Stafford of McDonald, TN and Sarah O’Neal (Billy) of Ringgold, GA; sisters, Martha (David) Denham of Hixson, TN and Carolyn (Ronnie) Levi of East Brainerd, TN; 6 grandchildren, Will O’Neal, Cari O’Neal, Jake O’Neal, Mary Beth Greenfield, Lynn Crocker (Chad) and Melody Joseph; and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Chattanooga First Church of the Nazarene, 5455 North Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
