Betty Jo (Cox) Jackson

Betty Jo Cox Jackson, 77, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

Betty was born on September 14, 1940 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Alvin Thomas and Emily Bates Cox. She was a 1959 graduate of Central High School, and member of the Maple Acres Garden Club. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she and her husband were members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Most of all she loved spending time with her husband, family, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Cox Parsons.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles Thomas Jackson Sr.; daughter, Pam Jackson Benson; son, Charles Thomas Jackson Jr. and wife Cheryl; brothers, Alvin Thomas Cox Jr. of Chattanooga, TN, William Gerald Cox of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Katie Benson Wild and husband Michael of Dallas, TX; grandson, Brady Theron Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 7 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Royce Powell and Rev. Don Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
