Bettye Quattlebaum (Abercrombie) Passons

Bettye Quattlebaum Passons, age 88, of Winchester, TN (formerly of Chattanooga) passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at a Nashville hospital.

She was retired from Suntrust (formerly American National) Bank in Chattanooga, where she worked for thirty years. Bettye was a bank teller, Master Charge Hostess, new bank building tour guide, and worked in the Purchasing department.

She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and also attended the Walnut Grove Methodist Church in Belvidere, TN.

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, William David Abercrombie and Hettie Elizabeth Abercrombie of Garden City, AL; first husband, Robert C. Quattlebaum of Chattanooga, TN; second husband, Roy Passons of Chattanooga; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her son, Jeff (Sandy) Quattlebaum of Winchester, TN; granddaughters, Lisa (Patrick) Lynch of Murfreesboro, TN and Sarah (Huston) Heatherly of Wataga, TN; great grandson, Cormac Heatherly; brother, Wayne (BettyAnn) Abercrombie of Chattanooga, TN; 3 step children and 6 grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 12 Noon (CST) on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in the Hopewell Cemetery, 492 County Road 582, Hanceville, Alabama 35077.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walnut Grove Methodist Church Building Fund (C/O Linda Limbaugh, 4184 Post Oak Rd, Belvidere, TN 37306.)
