Brett Reid Banks

Mr. Brett Reid Banks age 54, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023.

Mr. Banks was born in Enterprise, AL, on September 16, 1968, the son of the late William L. Banks, Jr. and Frances Elizabeth Reid Banks. Mr. Banks grew up in Albany, GA where he attended Sunnyside Baptist Church and was a 1987 graduate of Dougherty High School. Mr. Banks was employed with Builders FirstSource and considered his coworkers part of the family. Although described as quiet, Mr. Banks would cheer loudly for his favorite team the Georgia Bulldogs. He had a huge heart and loved his family tremendously. In addition to his parents, Mr. Banks was preceded in death by a sister, Bethany Banks.

Survivors include his wife who loved him dearly, Stacy Stewart Banks, to whom he was married on September 2, 2016; a daughter, Cara McGee (Cory) of Cordele, GA; sons, Matthew “Matt” Banks (Kelsey) of Albany, GA, Blake Banks (Jaime) of Albany, GA, John Kolb of Warner Robins, GA, Will Achi (Kayley) of Cheyenne, WY, and Christopher Stewart of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren, Holden and Paisley Banks of Albany, GA, Berkley and Brinley McGee of Cordele, GA, and Cannon Kolb of Warner Robins, GA; brothers, Bryan Banks (Donna) of Loveland, OH, and Roy Manos of Arlington, GA; nieces, Abby and Kaylie Banks of Loveland, OH and Harley Manos of Arlington, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity or local ASPCA.
