Cathy Renea Gibson

Cathy Renea Gibson, 53, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at her home following a battle with cancer.

A resident of Sand Mountain, AL for over 30 years, Cathy has lived in Soddy-Daisy for the past 14 years.

A 1985 graduate of North Sand Mountain High School, she was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Flat Rock, AL.

Cathy has served as Vice President of Title Guaranty & Trust for the past 25 years.

Cathy was known for her infectious smile, her love for traveling and her amazing flower gardens.   She was loved dearly by her family, friends, and customers.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Don Floyd;  mother, Johnnie Lee Young;  father, Billy Gibson both of Flat Rock, AL;  two sons, Ray Floyd, Soddy-Daisy and Ricky (Ashley) Floyd, Mowbray Mtn.;  brother, Nolan (Crystal) Gibson, Flintstone, GA;  two grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Floyd.

Services will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Elder Nicole Walker officiating.     Graveside services will be held at 3 pm at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Flat Rock, AL.   Pallbearers will be Daniel Anderson, Mark Hite, Mark Blazek, Tim West, Chris Chambers, and Robert Moss. Honorary pallbearers will be area realtors and mortgage lenders.
