Charles “Brother” Robert Ridley Jr., 75, of Ringgold, GA, passed away May 31, 2019 in a local hospital.
Charles had lived in Ringgold, GA for most of his life, living in Ohio for a brief period of time (of which he hated the snow).
He was a natural comedian keeping those around him laughing and at ease all the time.
He took pride in his hobby of wood working and made several beautiful pieces of furniture.
Charles retired from running a bulldozer for over 25 years prior to partnering in a family dairy farm.
He was well-loved by his extended family and many friends of which there are too many to mention. Charles had a favorite saying, “She has freckles on her but she is pretty.”
There are so many good memories we all have of a wonderful daddy, papa, husband, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Ridley; daughter, Rhonda Lane (Mark) Gilliland, grandsons, Matthew Lane (Elisabeth) and Thomas Lane; all of Ringgold; former son in law, Andy Lane; two sisters, Hazel Alexander, Sarah (Kenny) Petty; brother, James (Martha) “Bunty” “Lebron” “Rattler” Ridley; many nieces and nephews.
