Charles (Jerry) Carr, 81, of Ringgold, GA went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
A longtime resident of Ringgold, Mr. Carr retired from Combustion Engineering Co. after 30 years of service. A veteran of the US Navy, Jerry was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his son, Don Carr; daughter, Harriett Creech; parents, Dorine Magnuson, Charles D. Carr; brother, Duane M. Carr.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaNell Carr; daughters, Sherry (Gary) Mayo and Deborah Carr Peterson both of Chattanooga; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy Shavers, Kelly Ledford, Jarrod Smith, Ashley Hysinger & Daniel Clark; many great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ricky Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Shavers, Jarrod Smith, Justin Shavers, Daniel Clark, Gary Mayo and Kamen Blile.
