I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. In the face of such tragedy, many wonder why God allows such suffering. In the bible, Romans 5:12 says, "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

I first met Buz at Columbia Military Academy in 1950. We were roommates our senior year. Buz was a Cadet Lieutenant in the Band and I was a Cadet sergeant in Company B. Buz would invite me to go home with him on long weekends so I knew his family. They were all top notch folks. Buz and I always kept in contact after we graduated in 1952. We spent New Year's Eve together in 1955 with a couple lovelies from Lawrenceburg. In 1952, Buz had fixed me up with a date with a young lady from Florence, Alabama. I ran into that same lady on a PanAm R&R flight to Vietnam in 1967! A small world. I saw Buz at our CMA class reunions in 1992 and 2002. We continued to communicate via email. Buz will be missed--he was a true friend.

I was so very, very sorry to hear of the death if my friend, Buzzy. We grew up together in Lawrenceburg, although he was about a year older than I. My uncle lived next door to them there in Lawrenceburg, so Buzzy and several other friends who lived on Nixon Street and I spent a lot of time together, although I didn't live on Nixon. I knew well every member of his family there: his mother, dad sister and aunt. They were special people and Buzzy was such a fine, fine guy. Always full of energy and laughing. And dance??!! He was the best dancer in all of Lawrenceburg. We'll be together again one of these days, my old friend from those teenage days ... and it's going to be GRAND. My prayers go out to you, all of his family, and he will be in mine tonight.
