Clifford Kilgore

Clifford Kilgore, 90, of Lawrenceville, GA and formerly of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 11, 2020.

Born in Walker County, GA, he had lived in Ringgold for most of his life.

Mr. Kilgore retired from Standard-Coosa Thatcher after 40 years of service.    He was a decorated veteran of the US Marine Corp serving in Korea.

He was a longtime member of The Crossing Church, the Gideon’s International and was a 50 year member of the Masons.  He was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Kilgore;  sisters, Barbara Queen, Betty Henderson; and brother, Troy Kilgore.

Survivors are his son, Jerry (Lynn) Kilgore, Lawrenceville, GA;  daughter, Vicki (Brian) Cottrell, Ringgold;  brother, Roy (Sue) Kilgore, Rock Spring, GA;  five grandchildren, Chris, Shannon, Matt, Sarah Beth, and Paige;  three great-grandchildren, Cali, Addy, and Alayna;   many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Chattanooga national Cemetery for the immediate family with Rev. Chad Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 14th  from 2-5 p.m..   There will be no visitation on Monday.
