Curtis E. Jenkins Sr., 80, of Ooltewah passed away Sunday June 30, 2019 in a local hospital.
Born in Cole City, GA., Mr. Jenkins was a longtime resident of Ooltewah and a graduate of Ooltewah High School and attended Chattanooga State Community College.
He worked for Modern Maid Appliances for over 26 years before retiring with Miller Industries.
He served in the Army National Guard and attended First Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gertrude Jenkins; sisters, Geraldine and Juanita; brothers, Pete & Eddie Jenkins; and his grandson, Justin Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife of 59 years, Clorina B. Jenkins; four children, Curtis (Susan) Jenkins Jr., Harrison, Michael (Amy) Jenkins, Darryl (Amie) Jenkins, and Becky (Neal) Higgins all of Ooltewah; three sisters, Ann (Ron) Powell, June Middlebrooks, and Jan (Steve) Clark; six grandchildren, Brooke (Grant) Thompson, Joshua (Laura) Jenkins, Lauren (Matt) Gossett, Haley Jenkins, Brandon Jenkins and Megan Jenkins; four great-grandchildren, Macie Bates, Presley and Rhett Thompson, and Millie Gossett; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 3rd at 12 noon in the chapel with Rev. Eric Johnson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm at State Line Cemetery, S.Pittsburg, TN.
