Pastor Daniel Won-Chae Chung, age 85, of Collegedale, TN, peacefully passed away on Tuesday evening, May 3, 2022.

Pastor Chung was born on November 9, 1936 in Seoul, Korea. He was an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist church for over 55 years. Starting his ministry in Korea, he and his family later moved to California where he ministered for almost 30 years. In 2007, he and his wife moved to Georgia and pastored the Atlanta Mission Seventh-day Adventist Church for another 14 years, until his retirement in June of 2021. Pastor Chung loved the Lord and was passionate about sharing the great Gospel Commission with everyone he met.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Charity Kim Chung; a daughter, Esther Chung Shin (Walter); three sons, John Chung (Linda), Joseph Chung (Valerie), Paul Chung (Iris); and fifteen grandchildren.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00pm for family and close friends.

Interment will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 4:00pm at Collegedale Memorial Park for family only.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to ‘Jesus for Asia’ ~ KING JOASH PROJECT (Building of churches for the Philippines mission)
