Mr. David Lynn Tucker age 71, of Harrison, TN, left his earthly home to be rejoicing with his heavenly father on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Mr. Tucker was born in Chattanooga, TN, on May 16, 1951, the son of the late Elmer S. Tucker, Jr. and Dorothy C. McDowell Tucker. David was a graduate of Kirkman Technical High School where he played football, wrestled, and was involved in the electric shop. He was a member of the IBEW Local 175 as a journey man wireman, serving fifty-two years in the electrical trade. Twenty-six of those years he was employed at Textile Printing Company and later owned and operated BT Heating and Cooling, Inc.
He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church in Harrison. David loved rabbit hunting with his beagles, deer hunting, and fishing with his family and friends. He will be remembered for having a servants heart, telling the best stories, and never meeting a stranger. David was loved by all (well mostly all) and loved his Ford tractor, “Boomer” and Honda 1000, “Fred.” In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen G. Tucker.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Wanda L. Tucker, to whom he was married on August 12, 1972; a daughter, Vanessa Tucker Thomason (Anthony); a son, Brian D. Tucker (Kim); four grandchildren that he adored, Justin Thomason, Shelby Thomason, Payton Tucker, and Taylor Tucker; and a sister, C. Christina Tucker Davis. Several nieces, nephews, many friends, and a sock chasing lab named, Abbi.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Maple Grove Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 6:00 P.M., Maple Grove Baptist Church.
