I just found out about David's passing. I am so sorry. As you know I worked with David for several years while we were both at Children's Hospital. He truly was a kind, wonderful person and there was never a person who did not like him. All of the children and their parents found him to sensitive and supportive. He was a great colleague. My heart goes out to his family. Best wishes.

May Butch rest in peace. Last time I saw Butch was at the funeral home when my brother, Jesse, had died. Butch was so memorable, as he was such a kind person and was always smiling. Sending loving thoughts and prayers to his family. (I would have come to the funeral but saw this too late (10:30 PM Saturday).

Butch and I have known each other since 08/54 when his Mother, Ruby, along with Rebecca Eaves began being part of my sponsorship with the WMU of Concord Baptist Church. Butch and his entire family were always kind to me and did a lot more than most people would take the time to do. Many of us do not know a better Christian than Butch and I just hope his parting is only a temporary thing for me and He. Dalpnia and the kids and Helen and Harriet and all other family members, I and my wife, Linda, do offer our most sincere condolences. All my love, Johnnie Mac

To The family of David I want to express my sincere condolences in the passing of David. We have been friends since we were 12 years old beginning at East Brainerd Elementary School. We were sports teammates through Junior High School And High School at Tyner. David has always been a respected member of our school family. I have enjoyed continuing our friendship in our senior adult years. Davids life is a life well lived and he will be missed by many. It makes me sad that our family is out of state on a long planned vacation and I won't be back in time for the services. Please know that David and his family is in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Jim Greeson

Haven't seen Butch since moving to Virginia in 1964. Never saw anything but "good" in Butch during his early years as a teen. I have the impression he had a wonderful life of service.
