My deepest condolences to this beautiful family. Although I did not know Del personally, it was very evident that he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. My prayers for his lovely wife and brothers as well as his nieces and other family. Thank you for allowing us to care for him. ...April, dialysis

I am so sorry and my sincere condolences to the family. Words are never enough to take away the pain; but we can find comfort in God's promises in the bible. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one; we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our Heavenly Father returning our dear loved ones back to us through Jesus Christ. For Acts 24:15 and John 5:28,29 assures us that there is going to be a resurrection. Just as Jesus foretold and performed resurrections in the past, he will soon perform them again on a much grander scale for all mankind. Isaiah 33:24 foretells: "And no resident will say: "I am sick."" Yes soon all suffering and death will be removed forever; and at that time humans will live in perfect health and in peace on a paradise earth- Revelation 21:3-5 and Psalms 37:29. May God provide the family with strength and inner peace as you all reflect on his promises while cherishing wonderful memories of Del. I hope that everyone can find more bible based comfort in coping with grief and the days ahead by visiting jw.org. In the search box please type: Is there hope for the dead video. The family will be in my prayers.

His heart was in his work and his love of the sports he played. Thank you for sharing this fellow with the rest of us. He will be missed but now has
the Lord beside him. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.Find comfort in knowing this was a great example for all of us to follow

I was so saddened to hear of Del's passing, but when we are in Christ our passing is a home going. I have know the Ottinger family for years and I had the joy of worshiping at church with Del in the choir and also in Sunday School. We had some wonderful times. Brandy & Jenny, you had a very special Dad and he was so proud of you both. I will be praying for you all in the days ahead.

My family attended church with Del and his family for many years. He and my Dad, Barry McCloud were big UT Vols football fans. My dad would take him to games with him. I have lots of fond memories of Dad and his family. Del was always smiling and very pleasant. Del will be missed. Praying for the family.

Del always had a huge smile on his face and such a kind person. He was my brother Louis Childers best friend. Del remained in touch with our family after Louis passed away which meant so much to our family. The brothers had that personality that brought a smile to your face as you would see them. Del will be missed greatly, but now reunited with Louis! Praying for the family and friends that will miss Del!

Del was a wonderful person . In the three short years I had the pleasure of knowing him he made me feel I had known him for a lifetime . Always a smile on his face and nothing but kind words . He was a wonderful grandpa to my granddaughter , step dad to my son in law and father in love to my daughter . No words were needed to tell how deeply he loved his wife Karen Ann . He will be greatly missed by this family and I am so very blessed to have known him . We celebrated our birthdays together for the first time this past year with Susie Humphries along with our family and it was one of the best birthdays I have ever had . I will treasure this memory always . You will be dearly missed . Love you to the moon & back and cant wait to see you in Heaven one day to celebrate our heavenly birthdays .

As I read Del’s Obituary it became so evident to how many loved ones are going-to be without him, but I pray for each one, to especially his Wife. Del sounds like he was a very loving and caring man.
I know our families were close growing up, Unfortunely we all grew up and went our separate way. There is shouting and happiness in Heaven but I pray for each person that Del’s life touched often.
You will be in my prayers. I know turning to our Heavenly Father is the way to make it when you are by yourself. I know you are a family who will lift up each other.
I am sorry for your loss.
