Don Allen Miller

Don Allen Miller, 83, of Ooltewah passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Born in Parks, Arkansas, Mr. Miller has been a resident of Hamilton County since 1975.

He was retired owner and operator of several convenience stores; The Trading Post Grocery; in the Chattanooga area.

He was a member of Rechoboth Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy and was a veteran of the US Navy.  He was also a member of the Shriners and the Fidelity Masonic Lodge #558 F&AM.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, John & Violet Miller; and sister, Charlene (Sam)Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margie Miller;  2 daughters, Donna (Charles) Neely and Lachone (Mike) Phillips all of Harrison; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren;  6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 15th at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Richard Floyd and David Bean officiating.   Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Kevin Phillips, Casey Phillips, Jake Gann, Greg Chubb, Jimmy McClure and Michael Chattin serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 15th from 10 am until the hour of the service at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
