Dorotha L Morrison

Dorotha "Dot" L. Morrison, 88 of Chattanooga, TN went to be with the Lord after passing away in the presence of loved ones on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018.

Dot was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and she found great joy in spreading the Word and her "Joy Class" small group. Trained as an opera singer and concert pianist, Dot loved fulfilling her passion of performing in the theater and musical arts. In addition, she loved cooking and entertaining guests, always making them feel welcomed in her home. Known by all for her kindness and great sense of humor, and her infectious smile would light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Frank Morrison, parents, Dave and Pauline Leard, brother, Jimmie Leard, daughter, Judy Morrison and niece, Dew Holliday.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeri Evans and her husband Bill, daughter, Jill Reynolds and her husband Steve, granddaughters, LaDonna Cingilli and Jill Shelton, grandsons, Joshua Tally, Beau Reynolds and Dylan Reynolds, eight great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dot's life is schedule from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a service to follow at 1:00 on Saturday, October 6th at the Heritage Funeral Home on East Brainerd Road in Chattanooga.
