Dorothy Mae Gates

Dorothy Mae Gates, 82, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. 

Dorothy (Dot) was born in Loraine, OH.  She married Donald Charles Gates July 28, 1956. 

She continued to take care of others, working on a project with granddaughter Jennifer to knit scarves, hats & mittens for the homeless, to the very last day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don. 

She is survived by her children, Greg Gates and Sherry (David) Collins; three grandchildren, Jennifer Hulgan, Christopher Collins & Erin Collins; two great-grandchildren, Alex & Chloe Hulgan and her sister, Hilda Irene Kolcun, Surprise, AZ.

The family will have a Celebration of Dorothy’s life from 1-3 PM Saturday, June 2, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
