Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Dottie and the family. I was fortunate to practice with Dr. Buchner for many years at East Ridge Hospital. He was a fine surgeon, consummate professional, and perfect gentleman. He will be sorely missed. Love and prayers from Ellen and Guy.

My Name is Demetriess and I was one of Dr. Buchner's patients in 1985 He came to my rescue when I was pregnant and very sick, my husband and I didn't know what to do we were at our wits end because I was vomiting and having horrible stomach pains and due to deliver within a day or so but someone said call dr. Buchner and he came to the E.R. and immediately the situation changed for us. I'm not saying he was a miracle worker but for me and my now 33 yr. old son he was just that . He was one awesome dr and a gentleman as well. I'm very sad to hear about the world losing a good one. But I hope to see him again according to John 11:11--45 Jesus raised Lazarus and He can do the same for Dr. Buchner Ecc. 9:5 & 10 says he is just resting. so I look forward to seeing him again. And I wanted his family to know of the good he did while he could. Sincerely R. D. H.

This is a voice from the past praying for all of you, especially you, Dottie. It broke my heart when you guys moved away from Olive Branch and I have thought about you and Dr. Buchner a million times. Your sweet boys were so precious to me and you were so good to me. I loved being around you. I was so sorry to hear about Dr. Buchner. God bless you all at this very sad time. Love you. Diane

Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents on so many different levels. Thank you for the kindness and smile you gave to others. The first time I met you, Watching a young boy walking on a wall. The father and doctor came out of you and said"There is a broken arm waiting to happen." May you rest in Eternal Peace.

Dr Buchner was an outstanding surgeon and friend. His skills and diagnostic abilities were always a model for me in the many instances when we worked together.
He had a wonderful sense of humor that helped lighten the darkest situations. He will be sorely missed and my sympathies are with his family.

We will remember Bill as a great fellow boater and friend at the Chattanooga Yacht Club for many years. He and his family were a very active part of our lives there and we always enjoyed being with him and them. Just know that you are missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Love, Connie and Rick Jones.

I was so very impressed by Bill's triage role in Vietnam. It was such a difficult decision to make but I know hes with all of those men in Heaven now.
