Edwin Duane Edgington

Edwin Duane Edgington, 74, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2021.

Born in Gary, IN, Mr. Edgington has been a resident of Chattanooga since 1979.

He was retired from Astec Industries after some 30 years of service and was a veteran of the US Air Force.

He was a dedicated member at Hickory Valley Baptist Church and accepted the Lord in 1995.

Mr. Edgington was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, loved history, sharing stories and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of  53 years, Alice Edgington;  daughter, Esther (Jeff) Brown, Hammond, IN;  son, Edward Arthur (Danielle) Edgington, Binghampton, NY;  sister, Linda Vanduyn; brother, Dennis (Jan) Edgington both of Danville, IN; 5 grandchildren, Larry (Patricia) Brown, Jacob Edgington, Alice Edgington, Elijah Edgington, and Annabell Edgington;  4 great-grandchildren, Janiyah, Jayden, and Jaxon Mason and Joelle Brown; sister in law, Linda Cappas, Crown Point, IN; nieces and nephews, Troy, Nicholas, Danielle, Emma, Grace and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13th at 11:30 am at Hickory Valley Baptist Church with Rev. David Kemp officiating.     Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 am until11:30 am at Hickory Valley Baptist Church, 2320 Hickory Valley Road.
