Elsa Schmidl Boecker

Elsa Schmidl Boecker passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 12, 2019.

She was born in Manching, Germany on October 2, 1940. She met her first husband while he was in Germany serving in the United States Air Force, marrying him in 1957. She then moved to the United States in 1958. They had four children together: MaryAnn Roberts- Memphis, TN, Tim Kellis (Patti)- Cincinnati, Ohio, Cheryle Jenkins- Chattanooga, TN, and Peggy Moses (Steve)- Ringgold, GA. Following the birth of their four children, they divorced. Elsa remarried to Bernie Boecker in 1981 before moving to Ontario, Canada.

Elsa was very proud of her German heritage as well as becoming an American citizen in 1972. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and crocheting. She loved, and was loved, by her children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

In 2018 Elsa moved back to the United States to spend her remaining time on Earth with her family. She will be missed deeply by all.

The family will receive friend on Monday, September 16 from 5-7 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Rd.
