Emma A. Appugliese, born August 27, 1929 at home on 2114 Union Avenue in Chattanooga, Tennessee joined her husband, James V. Appugliese, Sr. on heaven's dance floor Monday, August 26, 2019.
Emma retired after 30 years of service as a medical technologist at Erlanger Hospital. She was a past member of the American Society of Medical Technologists, St. Gerard's Catholic Church and Ladies Guild and the American Legion Post 95 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Charles D., Joseph E., Robert A. and Raymond I. Alexander.
She is survived by five children: Valerie A. Bowers (Don); Julia M. Rambo (John); James V. Appugliese Jr. (Teresa), Roy A. Appugliese (Lisa); and Joseph F. Appugliese Sr; nine grandchildren and their spouses, D.J. Bowers (Valorie); Holly Robison (John); Lisa Holman (Jason); James K. Appugliese, Jonathan A. Appugliese(Breanna), Shane (Megan) Hubbard and Russell (Shannon)Hubbard, Brannon Millard, Joseph Appugliese Jr., and Christopher Appugliese. Emma also leaves two brothers —in-law, Frank (Annette) Appugliese and Anthony Appugliese as well as eight great grandchildren, Jackson Bowers, Lilly and Evie Robison, Kylee and Lauren Holman, Dagne and Daxton Millard and Gabby Appugliese.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 30, 2019, as she is interred with her beloved husband Jim at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
