Floyd Allen Trent

Floyd Allen Trent, 80, of Ooltewah went home to be with the Lord on  Friday, July 21, 2023.

A native of Spencer, VA, Mr. Trent has lived in Ooltewah since 1997.

He was an active member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and in the security department. He cherished his church family and especially his Live Wire’s Sunday school class.

Mr. Trent retired from Dupont after more than 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Marie Trent; and sister, Lily “Sissie” Turner.

Survivors are his loving wife of 57 years, Ellen Trent;  daughter, Kim (Billy) Davidson, West Palm Beach, FL;  sons, Clarence (Debbie) Trent, Spencer, VA; and Jonathan (Vanessa) Trent, Graysville, TN;  sister, Susie Boyd, Martinsville, VA;  4 brothers, Zebulon “Cotton” (Jennie) Trent,  Robert “Bobby” (Sally) Trent, Dean Trent, and W.G. Trent, all of Spencer, VA;  5 grandchildren, Brooke Davidson, Sarah Slocum, Chloe Davidson, Billy Davidson Jr., and Michael Davidson;  several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25th at 1 pm at Hickory Valley Baptist Church, (2320 Hickory Valley Road), with Dr. David Kemp officiating.   Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
