Fred Morris Reed, 93, of Ooltewah passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 surrounded by family and friends.
A longtime resident of Arlington, Texas, Mr. Reed has been a resident of Ooltewah for the past 12 years.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea and was a member of the Arlington Seventh Day Adventist church.
Mr. Reed was a longtime healthcare business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Nettie Reed; two daughters, Donna (Don) Duff, Ooltewah and Dana (Reed) Krause, Ooltewah; five grandchildren, Lincoln (Megan) Duff, Landon (Daniel) Duff, Phillip (Kelly) Krause, Reed (Cassie) Krause, Raymond (Marianne) Krause; eight great-grandchildren, Lula and Hudson Duff, Landry Little, Lindsey and Stacy Krause, Connor Krause, Lyston and Matthew Carl Krause; sister, Mildred Lewis, Statesville, NC; many cherished nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 15th at 12:30 pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Steve Darmody officiating. Pallbearers will be Lincoln Duff, Daniel Little, Phillip Krause, Reed Krause, Raymond Krause, and Daniel Tanksley. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Glass, Ben Bowen, Don Duff, and Red Krause.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Worthy Student Fund % Southern Adventist University, 4881 Taylor Drive, Collegedale, TN 37315.
