George Baker Johnson

George Baker Johnson, 67, Rossville, GA., passed away September 23, 2018 at his home with his wife by his side.

A native of San Bernardino, CA, George was retired from the US Navy as Petty Officer 1 after 20 years of service.  He was formerly employed with Groome Transport Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Marie Johnson and a sister, JoAnn Jorgensen.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela Teems Johnson;  daughter, Danielle (Drew) Helton, granddaughter, Sophia Helton,  both of Ellenwood, GA;   two step-daughters, Kathy (David) Mercer, Monticello, GA, Carrie (Quenton) Williams, Lenoir City, TN;  two sisters, Patricia (Ed) Connor, Delaware, Aileene Marriott, Michigan; brother, Lane Johnson, Arizona; brother-in-law, Jerry Jorgensen, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Phil Summerall officiating and full military honors.

There will be no visitation.
