Gordon (Buddy) Dewey Hulgan, III

Gordon “Buddy” Dewey Hulgan III, died peacefully in his home on November 15, 2020.

Buddy was born August 10, 1966 to Gordon “Bud” Dewey Hulgan II and Martha Hulgan at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. 

Buddy graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School with the class of 1985.  He was a member of the varsity football team and started as a defensive end.

After completing his education, he carried his athletic success into the business world. Buddy was an entrepreneur, cultivating many businesses such as Elevator Etc., Signal Mountain Construction, and ChemLab USA. He was also involved in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for Signal Mountain Country Club.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his family. Buddy was known for his humor and charisma, which could light up a room. His greatest joy was his children, Katie and Gordon Hulgan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jock Hulgan; and father, Gordon “Bud” Dewey Hulgan II.

He is survived by his son, Gordon Dewey Hulgan IV; daughter, Katie Hulgan; mother, Martha Hulgan; brother, JoeDee Hulgan (Rebecca Anderson Hulgan), and many other loving family members and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM , Saturday November 21st at Forest Hills Cemetery with Rev. Terry Burns officiating.
