Inez G. Kunsman

Inez Kunsman, 87, of Chattanooga passed away January 29, 2019 in a local healthcare center.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga,, Inez was a volunteer with Riverbend for over 26 years.

In 1992 Mrs. Kunsman received a kidney transplant after which she began volunteer work for the Kidney Foundation. 

She also served as usher and door guard for several years at the Memorial Auditorium, the Tivoli and the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra.  Mrs. Kunsman worked for Hancock Fabric for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Kunsman.

Survivors are her daughters, Linda (Charlie) Grant, Chattanooga; Karen Bowles, Mobile, AL; Debbie Kunsman, Chattanooga; and Sharon (Rodney) Parham, Ooltewah;    sons, David (Terri) Sullivan, Dalton,  Don (Mandy) Sullivan, Gurley, AL, and Danny (Vicki) Sullivan, Cheltenham, Maryland;    sisters, Wanda Batton, Trenton, GA; and Earlene “Pete” (Bob) Vandergriff, Santa Fe, TX;  brother, Ronnie Odell, Trenton, GA;  11 grandchildren,  11 great-grandchildren,  1 great-great-grandchild;  several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Rodney Parham and Chip Baker speaking.  Burial will follow at the National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Sims Jr., Justin Wooten, Edgar Bowles, Joshua Sullivan, Buster Walls and Paul Bowles.
