James "JC" Clifford Bowen

James Clifford “JC” Bowen, 51 of Harrison, died on Friday, October 11, 2019, after a tough battle with cancer.  

JC was born in Chattanooga and was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He loved serving his community with his brothers and sisters in blue.  JC was a Fugitive Detective with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Lee Bowen.

JC is survived by his mother, Linda Bowen Smith; sisters, Lisa (Barry) Burtchaell, Bobbi Bowen and Jessica (Mitchell) Brown; several nieces and nephews and all of his brothers and sisters in blue.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Sunday, October 20, at the Collegedale Community Church, 9305 Four Corners Place, Collegedale, TN 37315, with Chaplain Jonathan Parker.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, October 20, at the Collegedale Community Church.
