Jean Park Cha

Jean Park Cha passed away in the comfort of her home on April, 8, 2021 at age 64. Throughout her long battle with cancer, she continued to show her love for her family until the very end.

Jean was born in Seoul, South Korea to Park In Jun and Park Gye Ja on September 18, 1956. She immigrated to the United States to attend college at Pratt University where she studied Interior Design. While living in New York City, she met and married her husband, David Cha. They traveled through Chattanooga on their honeymoon and decided to make their lives there. Together they had one child, Jason Park Cha.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother, and friend but above all else was committed to her abiding faith in Jesus Christ. Jean and David were members of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga for thirty years and invested their lives there.  Passionate in everything she did, Jean possessed an incredible work-ethic. Her sacrifice and love for her friends and family will leave an impact for generations.

Jean was predeceased by her husband David, and survived by her son, Jason and his wife Louise Tiller Cha of Chattanooga.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, April 13 in the funeral home chapel.
