Jeanne (Woodell) Edgmon

Jeanne Woodell Edgmon, 92, of Collegedale, Tennessee, completed her earthly journey on Saturday, November 23, 2019. She passed away in her own home surrounded by family and friends.

Jeanne was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 16, 1927 to G.M. Woodell and Gladys Baldwin Woodell; she was one of seven children.

Before her illness, Jeanne was a faithful member of the Collegedale Community S.D.A. Church and loved to attend every week.

As a Pastor's wife, Jeanne was very active in church work, playing piano and organ, teaching children's classes, serving as church Treasurer as well as hosting numerous families in her home who experienced her kind hospitality. Many individuals adopted her as "their" mother and she considered them "her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Deward Edgmon, her parents and her six siblings.

She is survived by her son Gary (Janice) Edgmon, her daughter Judy (Alan) Richards, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, December 14 at Collegedale Community SDA Church, 9305 Four Corners Pl. Collegedale, TN 37315.
