Johnny J. Frye

Johnny Joe Frye, 83, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

Johnny was born on March 27, 1934 to the late Roy and Hazel Frye, he graduated from Kirkman High school, he served 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean War, he worked for Combustion Engineering from 1956-1986, was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 40.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarette “Margie” Frye, sister, Margaret Frye, and brother, Louis Frye.

He is survived by his sons, Alan (Gina) Frye, Chris (Janet) Frye, grandchildren, Lauren “Lolly” Collier, Lindsey Frye, Katelyn Frye, McKenzie Frye, great-grandchildren, Miller Frye, Annalise Collier, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 12 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rob Boarders officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
