Judy Ann Goldberg

Judy Ann Richards Goldberg, 75, of East Ridge passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 after battling Diabetes, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease in recent years.

Born February 24, 1943 in Chattanooga, Judy was a graduate of Kirkman High School where she met her husband of 33 years, Alva C. Goldberg who preceded her in death in 1998.

Judy earned her Master’s in Education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her Bachelor’s degree from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.   She was a former adjunct teacher at Chattanooga State Technical Community College and co-owner of ACG, Inc., and Fountain Plaza Management Company with her late husband.

She was a longtime member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   Judy had a love of learning, reading, and Diet Coke.  She also enjoyed antiquing, painting, her pets, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva C. Goldberg,  parents, Mark & Thelma (Tressie) Richards; sisters, Betty Watkins, Madeline Hutcherson and brother, Bill (Jane) Richards.

Judy is survived by her sons, Richey (Jennifer) Goldberg,  Steven Goldberg;  grandson, Taylor Goldberg; her close friend and roommate, Pat Reynolds, all of East Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that donations be made in support of someone Judy loved very much, her grandson Taylor, by donating to the Silverdale Baptist Academy Athletic Department, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
