Kelly Dean Crownover

Kelly Dean Crownover, 85, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Crownover retired from Honeywell Inc. after 27 years of service and also retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service.

He held memberships with the Alhambra Shrine Temple, American Legion Post 95, Elk’s Club and the VFW Post 4848.

He was also a member of the East Lake OES & Masonic Lodge #698, East Ridge Masonic Lodge #755, and the Worley Masonic Lodge #601.

Mr. Crownover was a charter member of the Red Fez Club.

Survivors are his daughter, Diane Griffith, Ft. Oglethorpe;  son, Keith Crownover, Chattanooga;  2 step-daughters, Mary Goude, Greenville, SC and Tricia Barbee, Chattanooga;  3 brothers, Sam Crownover, TX,  David Crownover, Chattanooga, Roy Crownover, Rogersville, TN;  several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Freestone Crownover; step-son, Billy Barbee; and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 24th at 11 am in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Roberts officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alhambra Shrine Transportation Unit.
