Kenneth Lee Reed

Kenneth Lee Reed, 85, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2018.  He was at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born May 6, 1932 in Delano, TN, Ken was the son of the late Callie Reed.  He was saved at the age of 12 at the Delano Baptist Church. He graduated from Etowah High School in 1950. He was a Graduate of Theology from Tennessee Temple Bible School in 1974.  He was employed at Dixie Yarns from 1950 - 1964.  He then worked in the Grocery Industry for many years followed by a career in Real Estate where he retired. 

Ken married his wife of 51 years, OC Simpson on June 11, 1966. He and OC have been faithful members of Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church for over 50 years where he taught Sunday School for 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Bill F. Reed.

He is survived by his loving wife, OC Simpson; nephew, Brian K Reed (Diane); niece, Janice Reed Hunter (Joe); and 6 grand nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday April 17 in the funeral home chapel with Brother George Pinion officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church Missions Fund at 600 Mohawk St. Rossville, GA 30741 or your favorite charity.
