Lamarr (LA) Adcock, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday evening, April 17, 2022.
He was born in Coalfield, TN and moved to Knoxville, TN at the age of 9. Lamarr was drafted into the army August, 1965 serving two years as a military police and serving eleven months in Vietnam.
He worked for Graybar Electric Co. for 31 years.
After having transferred from Knoxville to Chattanooga, he met and married his wife, Lana, of 50 years.
He was an avid golfer and was a member of Concord Baptist Church for 40 years serving as an usher/greeter and loved welcoming members and visitors every Sunday.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lana Maddux Adcock; sister, Mona (Bob) Hopson, Knoxville, TN; daughter, Leslie (Dino) Jobe; three grandchildren, Matthew (Rebecca) Cash, Lindsey (John) Reiman, and Corey Cash; one great-granddaughter, Everly Oaklynn Cash, all of Austin, Texas; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David King officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Lyle Maddux, Ray Coskery, James Stevenson, Bob Hopson, David Johnson, and Matthew Cash serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund at Concord Baptist Church, 7025 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
