Liddy Iota Huskey

Liddy Iota Huskey, 71, of Ringgold went to be with the Lord on  Monday, May 15, 2023.

She was born April 1, 1952 to the late Ralph and Geneva Pierce.

She and her late husband, John raised their family in Ringgold, GA where she drove a school bus for Catoosa County School for more than 30 years.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Liddy loved to craft and create beautiful works of sewing and embroidery which she often gifted to family and friends.  She was a wonderful cook and loved hosting meals and celebrations.

She will be remembered as a beloved grandmother whom adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she  was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John Luther Huskey;  sisters, Pat Brown, Juanita Stokes, Johnnie Beth McDaniel, Gayle Link; and brothers, Jimmy Pierce and Doug Pierce.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Deborah (Mitchell) Qualls and Cindy Black; her children, Tyson (Janice) Huskey, Paul (Holly) Huskey all of Ringgold; Cindy (Mark) Johnson, Whitwell, TN, and Stacy (Jason) Perdue, Chickamauga, GA;   8 grandchildren, Whitney Black, Trey Williams, Crystal Johnson, Travis Johnson, Emily Daniel, Kyle Huskey, Hope Huskey, and Gracie Huskey; 5 great-grandchildren;  many nieces & nephews and countless others who will feel her loss.

A Celebration of Liddy’s life will be held Thursday, May 18th at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.   Burial will follow at Parker’s Gap Cemetery.

Friends and loved ones are welcome to visit with the family and join in fellowship on Wednesday, May 17th from 4-8 pm and Thursday from 11 am until 1 PM  at Heritage Funeral Home,7454 E. Brainerd Road.
